
Theatre Museum

The Theatre Museum in Warsaw is the first and only museum that collects theatre artefacts from across Poland. Established in 1957 on the initiative of Arnold Szyfman, it holds exhibitions in Warsaw and other Polish cities. Its rich collection benefits both researchers and the general public.

How to get there
The Theatre Museum is located in the west wing of Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera. Enter from Wierzbowa street.
Opening hours
Please make private appointments with the sections’ supervisors.
Gift shop (and box office) in the left wing of the opera house:
everyday, 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
Box offices (main lobby):
Tuesday–Sunday, 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
Opera Gallery and Theatre Museum:
Tuesday–Saturday, noon – 6 p.m.
Sunday, noon – 5 p.m.
