Manru nominated for an International Opera Award

The production of the Polish National Opera and the Poznań Opera House was nominated for the International Opera Award for the Best Rediscovered Work.

The International Opera Awards were founded in 2012 by a lifelong opera lover Harry Hyman. Each year sixteen awards are handed out by an international jury made up of twenty-one music critics and industry professionals.

Opera Magazine readers may vote for their favourites until 8 February.

Winners will be announced on 29 April 2019.

Last year Mariusz Treliński won the award for Best Director, while Piotr Beczała received the Best Male Singer statuette.
