Summertime at the Teatr Wielki

The season is almost over, yet the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera does not close its doors for visitors! Two exhibitions are still on, and we are holding special meetings for those interested in the opera house’s architecture and history.

Thinking about out-of-town visitors and local residents spending their summer in Warsaw, two exhibitions held at the Teatr Wielki will stay open longer than originally planned, that is until 12 August. Masters of the Baton is displayed in our downstairs foyer, while Theatre: It’s All on Our Heads may be seen at Opera Gallery. Both are open from Thursday to Saturday, 10 am–5 pm. Admission free.

Those interested in the building’s architecture and history might like to participate in our summertime meetings in the foyer. The meetings will be held on 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 25, 27, 29, 31 July and 2, 4, 7, 9, 11 August, at noon (in Polish) and 1 pm (in English). The price of admission is 10 zł (full price) and 5 zł (concessionary ticket). Individuals need not book beforehand. Groups are kindly requested to contact us in advance at +48 603 960 428 or mmajewska@teatrwielki.pl. Meetings start at the main entrance. Participants will have a chance to visit both exhibitions.

Don’t miss!
