World Opera Day 2021

Through filmed performances and fly-on-the-wall documentaries, discover the next generation of talent from Tokyo, Paris, London, Hanover, Amsterdam, Warsaw and Rome, throughout 25 October from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on operavision.eu and vod.teatrwielki.pl.

OperaVision celebrates the occasion in the company of young artists from the opera studios of the New National Theatre Tokyo, Opéra Comique, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Staatsoper Hannover, Dutch National Opera, Polish National Opera, Festival Verdi Parma & Fabbrica of Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. Through filmed performances and fly-on-the-wall documentaries, discover the next generation of talent from Tokyo, Paris, London, Hanover, Amsterdam, Warsaw and Rome, throughout 25 October from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on operavision.eu and vod.teatrwielki.pl.

At 8 p.m. young artists from the Opera Academy in Warsaw will bring us a semi-staged performance directed by Ewa Rucińska. Specially recorded at Teatr Wielki in October for World Opera Day, the programme includes works by Karol Szymanowski, Mieczysław Weinberg, Szymon Laks, Franciszek Maklakiewicz, Tadeusz Baird, Henryk Czyż and Paweł Łukaszewski.
