He was born in Riva del Garda, Italy, studied under the guidance of Vito Brunetti and graduated with honors at the Claudio Monteverdi Music Conservatory in Bolzano in 2002. He won the As.Li.Co. competition for the role of Belcore in L'Elisir d'Amore and the Best Performer award for Donizetti's Pietro il Grande (recorded by Dynamic) at the Martina Franca Festival.
His vast repertoire includes: Paisiello's Il barbiere di Siviglia (Figaro) with Rinaldo Alessandrini at the Théâtre de La Monnaie in Brussels; Galuppi's Le nozze di Dorina (Masotto) in Potsdam and at the Bayreuth Barock Festival with Sergio Azzolini; Cimarosa's Il Matrimonio Segreto (Conte Robinson) in Bolzano with Giovanni Antonini; L'Italiana in Algeri (Haly) led by Alberto Zedda, La Cambiale di Matrimonio and La Gazzetta (Filippo) at the Rossini Festival in Wildbad; Donizetti's Adelia (Il Duca di Borgogna) with Gustav Kuhn in Bozen; La Dirindina (Don Carissimo) with L'Arte dell'Arco and Federico Guglielmo; L'Italiana in Algeri (Taddeo) in Lisbon; L'Elisir d'Amore (Belcore) at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and in Ravenna; the modern prèmiere of Pacini's Don Giovanni (Ficcanaso); Paisiello's Il matrimonio inaspettato (Giorgino) under the baton of Riccardo Muti at the Salzburger Festspiele Pfingsten, in Ravenna and La Cenerentola (Dandini) in Chieti, Teramo and Fermo (Italy).

He recorded several CD productions for Dynamic (Giordano's Siberia; Donizetti's Pietro il Grande; and Cherubini's Lo sposo di tre, marito di nessuna); Naxos (Rossini's La cambiale di matrimonio, La Gazzetta and L'Italiana in Algeri with Alberto Zedda; and Pacini's Don Giovanni); and Sony/RCA (Donizetti's Adelia). He also participated in the DVD production of Rossini's La Cambiale di Matrimonio and Il Turco in Italia for Bongiovanni.
