The pianist and the singer; collaboration and partnership on stage – that was the subject of the Opera Academy workshops in January. Under the guidance of a pair of great pedagogues and excellent artists, contralto Ewa Podleś and pianist Jerzy Marchwiński, privately a husband and wife, members of the Teatr Wielki’s Young Talent Development Programme explored the ins and outs of collaboration in stage performance. The concert presents the outcomes of their efforts as well as being a great chance to listen to emerging stars of Polish vocal music and pianism.
