Ballet lovers love international ballet galas. That is why the world’s leading venues hold such events on many occasions. They are a wonderful opportunity to savour virtuoso performances of the most precious fragments of classical ballets and gems of contemporary choreography.
Warsaw has not seen a gala like that for years. To cater for the audience’s needs, the Polish National Ballet led by Krzysztof Pastor is now holding one for the first time. It will take place on 23 February 2018 on the opera house’s main stage and will feature stars of the Royal Ballet, London: Marianela Núñez and Vadim Muntagirov, first soloists of the Teatro alla Scala, Milan: Nicoletta Manni and Claudio Coviello, and the hugely talented winner of the Gold Medal in the last Moscow International Ballet Competition, Evelina Godunova partnered by Yevgeniy Khissamutdinov.
Naturally, the gala is also going welcome the audience’s favourite artists of the Polish National Ballet who are going to perform the best of their classical and contemporary repertoire, including Krzysztof Pastor’s Bolero to Maurice Ravel’s sensational music. Taking to the stage will be our first soloists: Chinara Alizade, Yuka Ebihara, Mai Kageyama, Maria Żuk, Paweł Koncewoj, Dawid Trzensimiech, Maksim Woitiul, Vladimir Yaroshenko, along with many more dancers of our company.
