    Liya Petrova is a remarkable young violinist born in Bulgaria. She won numerous competitions, including the prestigious Carl Nielsen International Competition in 2016. In 2020, she released a recording of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto Op. 61 with Sinfonia Varsovia and now will perform this masterpiece at La Folle Journée. The symphonic part of the Festival will be concluded with a playful miniature – a collage of all of Beethoven’s symphonies composed by Louis Andriessen, the doyen of the Dutch contemporary music scene who died this July.
