7 p.m. – Dr Paweł Hulisz ‘Trumpeters in the musical culture of Europe, in particular the city of Gdańsk, during the Baroque era’

Tubicinatores Gedanenses continues the wonderful Gdańsk tradition of Turmmusik, namely sounding signals from the city’s towers. The band consists of four trumpeters and a kettle drummer who play historical repertoire on copies of period instruments. Apart from tower concerts, Tubicinatores Gedanenses performs at combat reenactments and graces numerous municipal celebrations.

7:20 – Finale Concert

The programme includes 16th and 17th century instrumental and vocal and instrumental trombone music by G. Gabrieli, M. Zieleński, C. Monteverdi, H. Schutz and others, and will be performed by the participants of the instrumental workshop accompanying the festival and its guests.
