Apart from its own productions, each year the famous Les Grands Ballets Canadiens offer its audience a chance to see a foreign ballet company in action. This year they decided to invite the Polish National Ballet with its original version of Swan Lake choreographed by Krzysztof Pastor and designed by Luisa Spinatelli. The ballet is on at the Place des Arts from 21 February to 2 March.

To facilitate the ten-date run, virtually the entire company is leaving for Montreal, together with numerous members of the technical team. Alexei Baklan and Piotr Staniszewski will alternate at the helm of Les Grand Ballets Orchestra. Good luck to all the performers! (pch)
