A Jubilee Theatre Fair
We're opening the 250th jubilee season in the history of Polish public theatre with a big birthday party.
Throughout the day the Teatralny square will be bustling with activity: performances by artists of the National Theatre, the National Opera, and Warsaw acting students; music shows; presentations of theatre crafts; film screenings; auctions of costumes from archival theatre productions. Come alone, in company, or bring the whole family. There'll be a chance to get an autograph of your favourite actor and fun activities for children.
In the evening we'll enliven the statue of the father of the National Theatre – Wojciech Bogusławski, who'll speak to us through his plays and memoirs.
Venues: Bogusławski Hall, Tent of the National Theatre, Tent of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera, The Open Stage, Tearalny square, Autograph Pavilion, Costumes Pavilion.
Admission free, except for the dramatised reading of Mister Thaddeus (7 pm).
You may book tickets (15 zloty) until 24 August and buy them at the National Theatre's box office or on narodowy.pl until 25 August. Tickets will also be on sale on the day of the fair.
