Paszporty Polityki Awards 2017

It is already the 25th time Polityka magazine will hand out its prestigious Paszport (Passport) awards to honour outstanding achievement in culture.

The awards aim to promote talented your artists and are a noted barometer of changing trends in Polish arts, the challenges creators take upon themselves, and how their react to the developments around. The awards go to debuting artists or those whose career has seen a turning point or gained considerable momentum over the previous 12 months. 

Nominations are furnished each year by independent critics affiliated with different media outlets and culture institutions. The awards are awarded in seven categories: film, theatre, literature, visual arts, classical music, popular music, and digital culture. Winners are chosen by a jury made up of the magazine’s journalists and will be announced during the gala at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera.

Gala ticket holders are invited to attend a banquet afterwards.
