Colours and Shapes: If Painting Were Music
Workshops accompanying the Rajmund Ziemski exhibition at the Opera Gallery
Music moves whether it comes with a text or not. It dazzles and stirs emotions. It works in this extraordinary way because – usually – we come into contact with it in early childhood. But what about abstract art? How do compositions made of lines, splashes of colour, figures, and planes?
Inspired by Raymond Ziemski's paintings, these workshops will be a chance to learn to read abstract art. The children will then create their own abstract pieces.
The workshops are led by Anna Owsiany (painter and educator) and Kamil Niedziałek (musician, performer, and art educator), who are both collaborators of the educational department of the Zachęta gallery.
The workshops start with a guided tour of the Rajmund Ziemski exhibition and are dedicated to chidlren aged 6–14. The necessary supplies will be provided by the organisers.
Tickets are priced at 40 Polish zloty. Number of places limited.
Please note: Children must be accompanied by adult caregivers. Please collect free caregiver passes to the event in the opera house lobby before the start of the workshops.
