Old Polish Molière
Event promoting Patryk Kencki's book Staropolski Moliere (Old Polish Molière) held in conjunction with the Polish Molière exhibition held by the Theatre Museum
In 1669 Molière’s comedy Sganarelle, or the Imaginary Cuckoldwas staged at Jan Andrzej Morsztyn’s palace in Warsaw as the first in a series of Old Polish productions of the renowned French playwright’s works. They have all been discussed by Patryk Kencki in his book Staropolski Molière (Old Polish Molière), who will meet the readers on 26 May at the Teatr Wielki.

Students of the Acting Department of the Warsaw Theatre Academy will perform fragments of Gwałtem medyka, a Polish adaptation of Molière's farce Le Médecin malgré lui by Franciszka Urszula Radziwiłł.
