Prizewinners of the 9th Moniuszko Singing Competition A recital
The recital will be held at the Polish Radio's Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio.
Tickets go on sale on 4 November 2022 on the Polish Radio website and an hour before the event at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio box office.
A few months after the 11th the International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition drew to an end in Warsaw, baritone Andrzej Filończyk, who won the event's 2016 edition, returns to Poland to give a recital with Michał Biel, the recipient of the 2016 Outstanding Young Pianist Award. Since their success in Warsaw, both artists have been scoring triumphs on the international scene. Andrzej Filończyk could be heard at the Paris Opera, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and the opera houses of Zurich, Munich, Rome, and Toronto. The singer has shared the stage with such giants of opera as Aleksandra Kurzak, Nadine Sierra, Julie Fuchs, Juan Diego Flórez, or Jonas Kaufman. Michał Biel can boast performances at such major concert venues as Wigmore Hall in London, Carnegie Hall, the Alice Tully Hall in New York, or the Frankfurt Opera. He regularly collaborates with countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński. The duo has recently released the album Farewells.
