Radzimir Dębski: Homage to Krzysztof Penderecki

Due to serious Covid-19 concerns, and to ensure the safety of the musicians and staff of Sinfonia Varsovia and the Polish National Opera, together with Sinfonia Varsovia we have made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel the orchestra's birthday concert on 12 April which was to be live streamed online and broadcast on Polish Radio 2.

We are doing our utmost for the concert to be held at a later date.

NFM Wrocław Philharmonic Orchestra

Radzimir Dębski presents a special symphony project in tribute to the late Krzysztof Penderecki: a series of three concerts with the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic Orchestra. They will be given twice on 20 February in Warsaw and on 29 March in Wrocław, exactly on the third anniversary of the Professor's death. The orchestra will play Krzysztof Penderecki's works under Maciej Tworek, the Master's long-standing assistant, then Radzimir Dębski will conduct the musicians in a performance of his own two pieces, one of which was written especially for the occasion and will be given its world premiere. The programme of the concert series was put together in collaboration with the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice, which is the project's consulting partner.
