Touching Theatre
Series of meetings for people with visual impairment
A series of meetings for persons with visual impairment and their companions focusing on old-time theatre and its history. The meetings are curated by the Theatre Museum staff and rely on the museum's sculpture collection. Come and 'touch' the history of Polish theatre and the life stories of its protagonists.
This season we will look back to the 19th century to get to know the great theatrical families of Żółkowski, Rapacki, and Frenklow, as well as some prominent figures of the theatre scene: Leontyna Halpertowa, Rufin Morozowicz, and Kazimierz Kamiński. We are going to start and close the series with two composers and directors of the Warsaw Opera: Karol Kurpiński and Stanisław Moniuszko. The Nowember meeting will be devoted to Stanisław Wyspiański's play A November Night.
