The Jubilee Gala will be an extraordinary journey through the 200 years of the Teatr Wielki's history The programme is a carefully curated selection of pieces that reflects the richness and broad variety of the music that graced the Wielki’s stage over the years, including works by Chopin, Moniuszko, Verdi, Rossini, Bizet, Mozart, Penderecki, and Kilar.
Taking to the stage will be some of the singers whose careers started at the Polish National Opera and who now score triumphs all around the globe: Aleksandra Kurzak, Andrzej Filończyk, Piotr Buszewski, and Rafał Siwek. The soloists will be accompanied by the Wielki’s Chorus and Orchestra as well as the Polish National Ballet. The unforgetable gala will be conducted by Patrick Fournillier.
