Come and visit the Backstage of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera. You will have an opportunity to stand on one of the world's largest opera stages, marvel at the technical possibilities it offers, have a peak into the costume painters' shop, mould making workshop, wig workshop, or costume makers' workshop. You might even want to check how deep the orchestra pit is, get yourself lost in the opera house's enormous costume storerooms, and, if lucky, eavesdrop on artists rehearsing. Grab a chance to see the incredible world of opera from the inside, go through the looking-glass and see what is on the other side of the mirror reflection!
We welcome individuals, families with children, school trips, or groups of adults.
As part of the tour you will listen to a talk on the building's history, visit the backstage, workshops, costume storage, Moniuszko auditorium, the foyer, and an artist's dressing room.
