From 7 December 2025 to 1 March 2026, the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera will host a remarkable exhibition dedicated to one of the most charismatic duos in the history of Polish musical culture – Ewa Podleś and Jerzy Marchwiński. A contrapuntal harmony of two personalities and two artistic temperaments: she – a world-renowned contralto with a voice of unparalleled depth and power; he – an outstanding pianist and chamber musician, originator of the concept of “Partnership in Music”, educator, and thinker.
This exhibition tells the story not only of their artistic legacy, but also of their shared journey – on stage and in life. It is a story of two artists for whom music became a space of true understanding, emotional resonance and freedom.
It is a tribute to two extraordinary artists whose shared path through art and life proves that true partnership in music – rooted in mutual listening, respect and responsibility – can become the most profound form of love.
