Adriana Ferfecka studied Solo Singing and Piano Performance at the Legnica School of Music and went on to study Solo Singing under Professor Jolanta Janucik at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. In the 2014/2015 season she was a member of the Opera Academy Young Talents Development Programme at the Polish National Opera. In 2015 she took part in the Salzburg Festival's Young Singers Project, singing Rosina in Rossini's La barbiere di Sevilla.
Ms Ferfecka won first prizes at the International Ferruccio Tagliavini Singing Competition in Austria (2014), Le Grand Prix de l’Opera in Bucharest (2014), DEBUT Classical Singing Competition in Germany (2014), Ottavio Ziino International Lyric Competition in Italy (2014), and the Iris Adami Corradetti International Opera Competition in Italy (2016). Furthermore, she won third prize and the Soroptimist Club Vercelli Prize at the 69th Gian Battista Viotti Competition in Italy and second prize at the International Ada Sari Vocal Artistry Competition in Poland.
From 2015 to 2017 she was associated with the Deutsche Oper Berlin, where she sang First Lady in Mozart's The Magic Flute, Xanthe in R. Strauss's The Love of Danae, Barbarina in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, Frasquita in Bizet's Carmen, and Zerlina in Mozart's Don Giovanni. In 2018 she returned to Berlin to perform Micaëla in Carmen. This season she will star as Mimi in the Deutsche Oper's production of Puccini's La Bohème alongside Joseph Calleja.
More recently, Ms Ferfecka has made her debut at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma as Corinna in Rossini's Viaggio a Reims, before returning to Rome to sing as Valencienne in Lehár's Merry Widow a Ilia in Mozart's Idomeneo. This season, she will make her role debut as Liu in the Teatro dell'Opera's production of Puccini's Turandot directed by Ai Weiwei.
Other engagements include Valencienne in The Merry Widow at the Teatro La Fenice, Nella in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi at the Dutch National Opera, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro at the Teatro Lirico Di Cagliari, Mimi in La Bohème at the Wrocław Opera, Saffi in J. Strauss's The Gypsy Baron at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, Mimi in La Bohème and Adina in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore at the Silesian Opera. She sang the part of Suor Angelica in a concert perofrmance of the Puccini opera under José Cura during the inauguration of the International Ada Sari Vocal Artistry Competition at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music.
She was awarded a ministry of culture scholarship for her artistic accomplishments.
Ms Ferfecka has worked with such directors as Robert Carsen, Damiano Michieletto, David Herman, Ole Anders Tandberg, Jan Philipp Gloger, Roland Schwab, such conductors as Stefano Montanari, Michele Mariotti, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Marc Albrecht, Donald Runnicles, Andrea Battistoni, José Cura.
