Born in Tenerife, he began his musical studies as a French horn player. Later, he graduated in the specialty of singing and subsequently completed two master's degrees at the Conservatory del Liceu in Barcelona. He began his solo career at the Opernhaus Zürich, first in the Opernstudio and then as a member of the Ensemble. He has played a wide variety of operatic roles, such as Tamino, Don Ottavio, Pollione, Edgardo, Tebaldo, Alfredo, Fenton, Rodolfo, Faust, Ulysse, Apollo/Dionysos and Arcadio, among others.
He stars in the world premiere of Liszt's opera Sardanapalo with the Staatskapelle Weimar; he portrayed Enrico Caruso in the world premiere of Caruso a Cuba, winning the Schaunard Prize for Best Individual Performance in the Netherlands; in 2022, he was F. G. Lorca in the world premiere of El Abrecartas at Teatro Real de Madrid.
His international career has taken him to Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, Dallas Opera, Opernhaus Zürich, Opéra de Lausanne, LAC Lugano, Dutch National Opera, Grand Théâtre de la Ville in Luxembourg, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Ópera de Oviedo, Oper Köln, ElbPhilharmonie Hamburg, Konzerthaus Dortmund, Kursaal San Sebastián, La Fenice Theater in Venice, Philharmonie de Paris, Philharmonic Theater in Verona, Teatro Regio di Parma, Perm Opera, among others. He has been directed by Gustavo Dudamel, Teodor Currentzis, Fabio Luisi, Nicola Luisotti, Nello Santi, Marco Armiliato, Riccardo Frizza, Ivor Bolton, Pablo Heras-Casado, Omer Meir Wellber, Markus Poshner, among others.
Apart from the extensive symphonic repertoire, he has given concerts and recitals in Spain, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Sweden, France, Italy, China and Japan. Future seasons include debuts like Grigori in Boris Godunov, Leicester in Maria Estuarda, and Erik in Der Fliegende Holländer, among others.
