Andrey Popov has sung at the most prestigious opera stages such as Royal Albert Hall London, Metropolitan Opera New York, Washington, Stockholm, Beijing, Tokyo, Helsinki, Brussels, Baden-Baden, Valencia, Paris, Tel-Aviv, Eilat, Las Palmas, Birmingham, Cardiff, at Mikkeli Festival (Finland), and at the Golden Mask Festival (Moscow).
He has received much acclaim performing The Swan in Carmina Burana, recorded Mime in Das Rheingold (Valery Gergiev, conductor, with Rene Pape and Sir Willard White), and performed both Police Inspector in The Nose and The Simpleton in Boris Godunov at Metropolitan Opera.

Andrei Popov is the recipient of the special prize for performing a contemporary work at the Rimsky-Korsakov Competition (2004). He also received a Grammy Nomination for the CD recording of the Nose (2010), the Golden Mask Award for the Best Male Opera Singer (2010), the All Russian ‘Teatral’ Society Award, the St. Petersburg Theatre Award Zolotoy Sophit (Golden Floodlight, 2010).
