Anna Malesza-Kutny

Soprano

In the autumn of 2023, Anna Malesza-Kutny was singing Vitellia in Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito at Opera Vlaanderen as well as at Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg. In May 2024, she will make her Vienna Festwochen debut as Vitellia. In 2024, she will sing Despina in a new production of Mozart’s Così fan tutte at Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warszawa, followed by Contessa Almaviva in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at Theater Magdeburg.

Anna Malesza-Kutny made her Glyndebourne Festival debut in 2021, singing Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte. Earlier, she has sung Fiordiligi at Opera na Zamku w Szczecin (2020) and on tour with Kammeroper München (2018-2020). In 2022, she covered Fiordiligi at Opera Vlaanderen. She made her operatic debut in 2015, singing Contessa Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro. In 2022, the soprano performed at KlangVokal Musikfestival Dortmund. The Polish soprano made her debut at Oper Köln in 2020, where she covered Contessa Almaviva in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro and, during the 2021/22 season, performed Wren in Braunfels’ Die Vögel and First Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte.

She made her debut at Berlin’s Staatsoper Unter den Linden in 2019 in the world premiere of Widmann’s Babylon and returned for performances of Verdi’s Don Carlo in 2023. She is a member of Theater Magdeburg from the 2022/23 season, singing Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Liu in Puccini’s Turandot and Tatjana in Tchaikovsky’s Jewgeni Onegin. Directors she created role portaits include Julien Chavaz, Tatjana Gürbaca, Andreas Kriegenburg, Nadja Loschky, David McVicar, Milo Rau and Beka Savić.

The concert soloist has sung the soprano solos in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Mahler’s Symphony No. 4, Mozart’s Requiem, and Verdi’s Messa da Requiem. Anna Malesza-Kutny performed under the baton of conductors including Fabio Biondi, Gabriel Feltz, Thomas Guggeis, Riccardo Minasi, Alejo Pérez, Trevor Pinnock, Simon Rattle, Daniele Rustioni, Giacomo Sagripanti, Julien Salemkour, Nabil Shehata, Yaroslav Shemet, Anna Skryleva, Christopher Ward, Duncan Ward. Orchestras she was accompanied by include, besides many Polish ones, Beogradska Filharmonija, Dortmund Philharmoniker, Gürzenich-Orchester Köln, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, Orkiestra Symfoniczna Filharmonii Śląskiej, RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Staatskapelle Berlin, Symfonisch Orkest Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, WDR Funkhausorchester Köln.
