Born in Łódź in Poland, Anna Siminska first studied voice at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw with Jolanta Janucik, then took courses at the Kunstuniversität Graz with Joanna Borowska and Gottfried Hornik. She also attended master classes led by Ryszard Karczykowski, Helena Łazarska and Teresa Żylis-Gara.
Among Ms Siminska's first roles were Clarice in Haydn's Il mondo della luna as well as Pamina and Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute (Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera, Warsaw).
She made her international debut performing Adele in Die Fledermaus (Schlosstheater Schönbrunn, Wien). Thereupon she sang there Käthe in Ziehrer's Drei Wünschen which was also recorded and edited by CPO.
In 2009 Ms Simińska took part in the Young Singers Project at the Salzburg Festival, including the final concert in the Mozarteum. In the same year, she sang Nelly in Zeller's Der Obersteiger (Schlosstheater Schönbrunn) and Flaminia in Il mondo della luna (Brucknerfest Linz). In 2010 she appeared at the Festival Aix-en-Provence and the Salzburg Easter Festival singing Woglinde in Götterdämmerung with the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by Sir Simon Rattle. She also took part in a performance of Orff's Carmina burana (Musikverein Wien, 2010), which was recorded by the ASC (Arnold Schönberg Chor, Tölzer Knabenchor, Kenneth Tarver, Artur Rucińsky, conducted by Erwin Otner).
Recent engagements include Adele in Die Fledermaus and Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute (Wiener Staatsoper), the title roles in La Sonnambula (Oper Graz) and La Cenerentola (on tour with the Glyndebourne Festival), Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute (Semperoper Dresden), Taumännchen and Echo in Hänsel und Gretel (Royal Opera House Covent Garden, London).
Among Ms Siminska's upcoming engagements are Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute (Staatsoper Berlin and Frankfurt), Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Oper Graz) and Sandrina in La finta giardiniera (Bonn).
