John Cuff is currently the Lighting Director of New York City Ballet. He has collaborated with choreographers such as Jorma Elo, Val Caniparoli, Helen Pickett, Jose Martinez, Yury Yanowsky, Jeffrey Cirio, and Viktor Platnikov. His designs have premiered at many international companies, including the Finnish National Ballet, the National Ballet of Canada, and the Viennese Staatsoper. Credit highlights include: Val Caniparoli’s Lady of the Camellias; FrederickAshton’s Cinderella; as well as Jorma Elo’s Creatures of Egmont, Bach Cello Suites, Awake Only, Sharper side of Dark, Elo Experience, Pur ti Miro, and Le Sacre du Printemps.
