Magda Maciejewska created over 150 set and costume designs for theatre, opera, film, music video and TV productions. She studied architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology and set design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. From 1998 to 2014 she was primarily associated with TR Warszawa. With the director Grzegorz Jarzyna she worked on the plays: Magnetism of the Heart, History, Doctor Faustus, Prince Myshkin, The Celebration, Don Giovanni, Medea, Lion in Winter, Areteia, It's all right among us, T.E.O.R.E.M.A.T., Phaedra, Nosferatu, Player, L'enfant, Zwerg. She has also worked for the National Theatre, Warsaw; National Theatre, Kraków; Burgtheater, Vienna; Schauspiel, Essen; Toneelgroep, Amsterdam; Schaubuchne, Berlin; Lyon Opera; Bayerische Staatsoper, Munic. The plays that she co-created have been shown at the festivals in Avignon, Edinburgh, Moscow, Berlin, Vienna, London, New York, Pittsburg, Dusseldorf, Vilnius, Toronto, Madrid, Los Angeles, Wellington, Adelaide, Sankt Petersburg, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Nitra, Belgrade, Lille, Dublin, and Paris.
