Małgorzata Pańko studied at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, graduating with honours magna cum laude. At the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera she sings Polina in Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades, Suzuki in Puccini's Madama Butterfly, Jadwiga in Moniuszko’s The Haunted Manor, Olga in Tchaikovsky’s Onegin, Madelon and Bersi in Giordan's Andrea Cheniér, Margret in Berg's Wozzeck, Third Lady in Mozart's The Magic Flute, Zosia in Kurpiński’s Superstition, or Cracovians and Highlanders, Ciotka Pelagia in Ptaszyńska’s Magiczny Doremik, Rosalie in Tansman’s Le Serment, Krystyna in Weinberg’s The Passenger, Zofia in Moniuszko's Halka, and Luiza in Penderecki’s The Devils of Loudun. At the Latvian National Opera she sang Charlotte in Massenet’s Werther, Bizet’s Carmen, and Olga in Onegin. In 2013 she reprised the role during the company's guest performances at the Bolshoi. She also performed Charlotte (Werther) and Carmen at the Poznań Opera House.
Ms Pańko has collaborated with a range of renowned directors, including Laco Adamik, Achim Freyer, David Pountney, Maciej Prus, Mariusz Treliński, Krzysztof Warlikowski, Andrejs Žagars, Marek Weiss, or Keith Warner. She has sung under Gabriel Chmura, Michał Dworzyński, Lawrence Foster, Valery Gergiev, Jacek Kaspszyk, Kazimierz Kord, Miguel Gomez Martinez, Marc Minkowski, Krzysztof Penderecki, and Antoni Wit. She successfully performs oratorios, cantatas, and songs.
