Miloš Isajlović

Stager

Miloš Isajlovič is a renowned Serbian dancer, choreographer, and educator. He was born in Serbia and showed an early aptitude for dance. After studying at the middle ballet school Lujo Davičo in Belgrade, he received a scholarship to attend the prestigious Ballet Academy in Zurich. Upon returning to Serbia, he graduated from Lujo Davičo and began his career in dance.

In his early career, Miloš Isajlovič excelled in standard dances, jazz ballet, and show dance, winning three national championships between 1998 and 2000. In 2005, he became the national and world champion in contemporary dance and was also named the national champion of classical ballet. He later became a lecturer and choreographer of modern and jazz ballet at the Dance Center.

As a solo dancer, he has performed in many ballets of the National Theatre in Belgrade including Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, and The Taming of the Shrew. He has also performed in solo acts in various ballets, including Interval by Zoran Markovic & Masa Kolar, Viva la Vida! by Aleksandar Ilić, Ko to tamo peva by Stasa Zurovac, Six Dances by Jiri Kylian, The Lady of the Camellias by Lidija Pilipenko, Adriana Lecouvreur by Vladimir Logunov, Lisabonska priča by Aleksandar Ilić, The Damned Court by Dana Ruttenberg.

And in dance performances of Bitef Dance Company Loved one by Kjersti Muller Sandsto, Othello by Zoran Marković & Maša Kolar, Divine Comedy by Edward Clug, Alpha Boys by Guy Weizman, Shakespeare’s Sonnetsby Dunja Jocić/Leo Mujić, Captain John Peoplefox by Isidora Stanišić, If We Were All Quiet by Snježana Abramović, Yesterday by Jasmin Vardimon, Maja and I and Maja by Anja Suša, Bent by Andrej Nosov, Wishing Mashines by Isidora Stanišić, Don Juan by Maša Kolar, Birds by Edward Clug.

Isajlovič has won several awards and acknowledgments throughout his career. In 2005, he won third place in a contemporary duet at the International Ballet Competition in Berlin, and in the same year, he won first place for a solo performance choreography in Cesena, Italy. He has also won multiple state championships in several ballroom dance styles and modern ballet.

As a choreographer, Isajlovič won first place in the category of modern ballet at the Dance Fest in Novi Sad, Serbia, in 2012. He also won the prize for the best young performer of art in Serbia for the same year. In 2014, he achieved great success with his students in the dance performance Family Portrait, for which he did the choreography and production.

Aside from his dance career, Isajlovič is also a student of defected pedagogy at the Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation in Belgrade. He teaches contemporary dance at the Dance School Ris and has led workshops and seminars all over the Balkans, Europe, and the United States.
