Nazar Mikulyak is a Ukrainian baritone, born in 1996 in Ternopil. From 2018 to 2023 he studied at the Lviv National Music Academy under the guidance of professors Vasyl Dudar and Orest Sydir. Since 2022 he has been a participant in the Young Artists Development Program at the Polish National Opera in Warsaw.
He has participated in and been a laureate of various vocal competitions, including the Ira Malanyuk Young Vocalists Competition in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine (second prize), Wassyl Slipak Young Vocalists Competition in Lviv (special prize), Stoyan Popow International Competition in Varna, Bulgaria, and Klaudia Taev International Competition in Pärnu, Estonia. Nazar has taken part in numerous masterclasses led by such renowned artists as: Izabela Kłosińska, Olga Pasichnyk, Hedwig Fassbender, Mariusz Kwiecień, Edith Wiens, Topi Lehtipuu, Michał Biel, Dearbhla Collins, Helmut Deutsch, Maciej Pikulski, and Sophia Munoz.
He made his stage debut in 2023 as Silvio in I Pagliacci in a production by the National Opera Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. Later that year he performed the role of Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro in a production by the Opera Studio of the Lviv National Music Academy. Nazar has performed at the Lviv National Philharmonic, Vinnytsia Philharmonic, Ivano-Frankivsk Philharmonic, and the Polish National Opera in Warsaw.
