Born in 1991 in Zolochiv, Ukraine, Nazarii Kachala studied at the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy. In 2020 he graduated with honours from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where he studied under Professor Adam Zdunikowski.
Nazarii Kachala is a prize-winner of many international vocal competitions: a honourable mention at the Ira Malaniuk Singing Competition in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine (2013), First Prize at the 21st Century Art International Singing Competition in Kyiv (2014), a honourable mention at the 14th Aria and Evening Song Moniuszko Competition in Białystok, Poland, Second Prize at the 2nd Bogdan Paprocki Vocal Competition in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and First Prize of the 22nd Great Tenors Tournament in Szczecin.
He has performed at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, Grand Theatre in Łódź, Wrocław Opera, Opera Nova, Warsaw Philharmonic, Pomeranian Philharmonic, and Baltic Philharmonic, among others. He has given many prestigious concerts accompanied by outstanding orchestras and led by eminent conductors.
Since 2020 he has been a soloist at Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, where he made his debut playing the role of Stefan in Moniuszko's The Haunted Manor. He also performs the roles of Doctor Faust in Gounod's Faust, Jontek in Moniuszko's Halka, Pinkerton in Puccini's Madama Butterfly, Turiddu in Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana, Canio in Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci, Fenton in Verdi's Falstaff, and Don José in Bizet's Carmen.
