Born in Jelusalem, Tal Yarden creates for theatre, opera, dance, and music performances. He designed productions of Ivo Van Hove such as Gods of War, Antigone (Barbican), The Fountainhead, Husbands, The Russians, Children of the Sun, Cries and whispers, Antonioni Project, Angels in America, Mourning becomes Electra, Roman tragedies (Toneelgroep Amsterdam), Brokeback Mountain (Teatro Real), Der Schatzgräber (De Nederlandse Opera), Mazeppa (Komische Oper Berlin), Macbeth (Opéra de Lyon), Ludwig II (Münchner Kammerspiele), Edward II, The Misanthrope (Schaubühne), La Clemensa di Tito,Idomeneo (La Monnaie), and Wagner's The Ring cycle (Vlaamse Opera). Furthermore, he designed: Between Worlds (ENO), POP! (Yale), King Lear (Public), Distracted (Roundabout), Little Foxes, Liberty City, Beast, The Mizanthrope, Kaos (New York Theatre Workshop), Lush Valley,Sounding (HERE), Futura (NAATCO), The King Is Dead, Not Garden (Stephen Petronio), Tight Right White, Quotations from a Ruined City (Reza Abdoh). Tal Yarden is the set designer of Corpus Exquisitus and A Dog and Pony Show (Chashama). Recently he has designed video for Lazarus by David Bowie and Enda Walsh (NYTW) and Indecent (Yale & La Jolla). He is a technical consultant for the Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center.
