Pianist

Taras HlushkoTaras Hlushko studied at the Vasyl Barvinsky State School of Music, Drohobych, Ukraine, before graduating from the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy as  piano teacher, concertmaster-accompanist, chamber musician, and concert pianist.

He worked as pianist-accompanist at the acting department of his alma mater and the Maria Zankovetska Theatre, and in Zurich as a pianist on the Circustraum Conelli Show. Currently, he is a pianist-repetiteur at the Grand Theatre in Łódź, Poland, a position he took over in 2011.

Taras Hlushko is a laureate of a range of international competitions, including the Crimean Spring International Competition for Young Pianists (second-grade prize), the Heinrich Neuhaus Piano Competition (third-grade prize), and the Teren-Juskiw State Competition for Young Singers in Lviv (best accompanist). In 2015 he was a pianist-accompanist at the Ada Sari International Vocal Artistry Festival and Competition.

He performs in Ukraine, Switzerland, and Poland, easily switching between classical and popular music. He collaborates actively with conductors and singers on operatic productions, and gives solo performances on the piano.
