Born in Ukraine, Volodymyr Tyshkov studied at the Petro Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. Since 2017 he has been a soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine.
He has performed in the roles of Sparafucile in Rigoletto, Il Re in Aida (performed in Danish opera theaters), Timur in Turandot, Colline in La Bohème, Don Basilio in Il Barbiere di Sevilla, The Grand Inquisitor in Don Carlos, Oroveso in Norma (Teatro Mario del Monaco in Treviso and Teatro Claudio Abbado in Ferrara, Italy), First Strelets in Khovanshchina (Opera National de Paris, France), and in Mozart's Requiem.
He is the winner of first prize in the 46th Toti dal Monte International Competition in Treviso, Italy (2016) and second prize in the 5th Solomia Krushelnytska International Competition of Opera Singers in Lviv, Ukraine (2019). He is also a finalist of the 4th Éva Marton International Singing Competition, where he was awarded his debut performance at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan and an invitation to perform with the Hungarian National Philharmonic and the National Theater of Szeged. In 2022 he won second prize in the 11th International Stanislaw Moniuszko Vocal Competition, where he was also awarded the Prize of Katowice The City of Gardens – Krystyna Bochenek Cultural Institution: performance during the 32nd International Festival of Young Winners of Music Competitions.
