Are there people who do not know the romantic poem by Alexander Pushkin, the story of Tatiana's unrequired love for the cocksure Onegin, guilty of the pointless death of his friend Lensky and the tragedy of Olga? We are showing the story in Pyotr Tchaikovky's opera staged by Mariusz Treliński and in the famous version of the legendary British choreographer, John Cranko, who created it for the Stuttgart Ballet. The adaptation is considered to be one of the greatest ballet performances of 20th century and is presented in the same version on the most famous ballet stages in the world. The Teatr Wielki has been granted the rigorously protected by the Stuttgart company right to perform the choreography; which proves their recognition for our soloists and the whole team of the Polish National Ballet. Cranko also used Tchikovsky's music but completely different from the orchestral fantasias: Romeo and Juliet and Francesca da Rimini. With many solo creations, colorful group scenes and its wonderful charm, the performance is truly marvelous.
