Dear Audience Members,
According to the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of 29 April 2021, the restrictions on cultural events currently in place in Poland will not be lifted until 7 May. As a result, we are cancelling the performances of Werther on 7 and 9 May and educational projects: Family Fun at the Wielki (8 May).
The sales of tickets to all educational projects scheduled in May are put on hold, except for the art workshops accompanying the Jan Cybis exhibition (15, 29 May) and Meetings with Muzalinda (30 May). We follow the government's Covid-19 announcements closely and will inform you about any developments through our website and social media.
Please be reminded that the performances of Aida (6, 7, 8, 9 May) and Carmina Burana (The Blink of An Eye) – BMW Art Club (29, 30 May) have already been cancelled.
The concert Premiere Prelude: Franz Liszt has been moved from 20 May to 2 June, while the premiere of the ballet Mayerling will take place on 4 June instead of 21 May.
The Opera Gallery will open its doors to visitors on 4 May at noon (Jan Cybis exhibition) and so will the Theatre Museum (its exhibition Tango: Opera, Theatre, Cabaret is on display in the opera house’s downstairs foyer). Don’t miss!
Tickets to June performances will go on sale shortly. Please follow our website, Facebook and Instagram pages for updates.
While our auditorium doors remain closed, we are there for you online. In May you may watch Krzysztof Pastor’s take on Romeo and Juliet on vod.teatrwielki.pl and OperaVision.
