Most applications come from Poland (97) and Ukraine (68). The Selection Panel – including Agnieszka Rehlis, Eytan Pessen, and Romuald Tesarowicz – will decide which of the singers will take part in the Competition in May. The list of successful candidates will be announced on 26 February.
The 9th Moniuszko Vocal Competition is taking place at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw, Poland, from 9 to 14 May 2016.
