We are proud to report that the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera has been shortlisted for the 2016 International Opera Awards as the best opera company, while our artistic director Mariusz Treliński is among the finalists in the best director category.
Also shortlisted for the awards are our regular collaborators: David Pountney, the director of our production of The Haunted Manor and The Passenger, Anna Bonitatibus, who has lately sung Sesto in our La clemenza di Tito, and Bassem Akiki, the conductor of Iolanta & Bluebeard's Castle and Powder Her Face.
