During a ceremony marking the May 3rd Constitution Day held in the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Bronisław Komorowski, president of the Republic of Poland, awarded state distinctions to people who have rendered great service to the country and society. Krzysztof Pastor, director of the Polish National Ballet, was decorated with the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta 'for outstanding achievements in the artistic and creative work [and] for the contribution to the development of the art of ballet'.
