On 20 October we lost Janusz Olejniczak, an artist gifted with extraordinary talent, intuition, and sensitivity possessed by precious few. He generously shared his brilliance, wisdom, and ability to capture the true essence of music, offering us moments of thrill and delight.
It is hard to imagine the Polish National Opera without his charisma, imagination, warmth, and presence. While he leaves behind a glorious discography and precious memories, we stand helpless in the face of the loss of one of the greatest Polish musicians of the century and a man who simply cannot be replaced.
My heart is heavy as I bid farewell to a dear friend.
