AUDITIONS FOR THE OPERA ACADEMY YOUNG TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME 2023/2024
SINGERS
You can apply if you were born on 26th of June 1994 or later.
Schedule:
– 11 Apr. 2023 – registration begins
– 28 May 2023 – registration ends
– 6 Jun. 2023 at the latest – list of candidates who go on to Stage 2 (auditions at the Polish National Opera)
– 25 Jun. 2023 – auditions at the Polish National Opera in Warsaw
– 25–26 Jun. 2023 – Stage 3 – individual sessions with Opera Academy pedagogues
You application must include:
– ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
– links continuous, unedited videos of yourself performing live, 4–10 minutes long in total, recorded up to 6 months ago
– your biographical note
– your photo
– your voice teacher’s written consent to your membership in the Opera Academy programme (if you are a student of a music collage/conservatoire)
– proof that you have paid the application fee of 120 Polish zloty

For Stage 2 you will be asked to prepare a programme of:
– a classical aria
– an aria in a style chosen by the candidate (preferably different in style and expressions from the first aria)
– an art song
PIANISTS
You can apply if you were born on 24th of June 1993 or later.
– 11 Apr. 2023 – registration starts
– 28 May 2023 – registration ends
– 6 Jul. 2023 at the latest – list of candidates who go on to Stage 2 (individual sessions with each candidate)
Dates of the individual sessions will be arranged with candidates on a case by case basis.
You application must include:
– ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
– links continuous, unedited videos of yourself performing live, 6–15 minutes long in total, recorded up to 6 months ago
– your biographical note
– your photo
– your piano teacher’s written consent to your membership in the Opera Academy programme (if you are a student of a music collage/conservatoire)
The programme to be prepared for your session:
1. G. Puccini, La bohème, 'Quando m'en vo'
2. W.A. Mozart, Don Giovanni, 1st scene (without ouverture)
3. any solo piece
Pianists are exempt from the application fee.
