Tnaks to this year's World Ballet Day, we can all experience ballet anew!
This year's World Ballet Day theme Access becomes Art promotes radical accessibility. Targeted at both sighted and visually impaired audiences, the Polish National Ballet's programming focuses on George Balanchine's Symphony in C and features a fragment of a ballet rehearsal with audio-description, a making-of video of photogrammetry scanning that allowed us to print 3D figurines of dancers, as well as a video report of a meeting with people with visual impairment.
Watch our programme here.
Thank you to The Royal Ballet for your invitation to join this inspiring project! Happy World Ballet Day!
We are also grateful to the Mazowieckie Stowarzyszenie Pracy 'De Facto' for consultation and to Ms Magdalena Rutkowska for editing the audio-description.
