Born in Kraków, Poland, Elżbita Penderecka spent decades promoting classical music, supporting young talents, organising festivals, and buidling bridges across cultures. Her award-winning work has left a lasting mark in the hearts of artists, culture managers, and music lovers.
Elżbieta Penderecka was both the wife and an irreplacable collaborator of the composer Krzysztof Penderecki. She was also a charismatic originator of multiple singnificant artistic projects, including the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival. She used her determination and vision to co-create events that put Poland on the map of international culture.
We extend our deepest condolences to her family, loved ones, friends, and the entire music community.
