The exhibition explores 19th- and 20th-centiry theatrical reworkings of legendary and historical stories connected with the origins of Polish statehood in the 19th and 20th century. The display includes prints showcasing 19th-century tableaux vivants and stage productions inspired by Polish legends and Józef Ignacy Kraszewski's An Ancient Tale. Among the exhibits are set designs by Stanisław Wyspiański, Ferdynand Ruszczyc, Kazimierz Stabrowski, and Franciszek Siedlecki, prominent artists who eagerly studied archeological and ethnographic artifacts, and used them in their work. The exhibition is geared towards visitors of all ages and persons with disabilities.
