Opera Academy concert

The concert is a fruit of collaboration of Opera Academy and the Opera Studio of the Frankfurt Opera. The idea for an exchange of emerging opera singers was born three years ago when Bernd Loebe, general manager of Oper Frankfurt, came to Opera Academy workshops in Warsaw to share his experience as concert organizer and performance producer with young singing talents. In March 2014 the German opera house held a concert titled Warschau – Frankfurt – Transit, thus launching the tradition of joint concerts featuring participants of both of the talent development programmes. The latest concert took place on 2 June 2016 in Germany, to which Warsaw now responds with the event to be held on 22 June at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera. The concert will feature artists from Oper Frankfurt's Opera Studio and the Opera Academy of the Teatr Wielki. Linking Warsaw and Frankfurt is also Eytan Pessen, pianist and voice teacher, who regularly leads workshops at the Opera Academy and the Opera Studio.
