Ciecierski. Art Workshops
Fractions of time-space: art installation
The universe, although a single whole, is highly complex. As is the the way we perceive and remember it. Drawing inspiration from the Opera Gallery’s exhibition of Tomasz Ciecierski’s artworks, the workshop will prompt participants to reflect on these complexities and interrelations, discuss time, memory, and remembering. In the latter part of the workshop the children will create a large-format painting installation which will help them understand similarities and differences between them and give them a broader understanding of what painting is. The instructors are educator and painter Anna Owsiany and Kamil Niedziałek musician, performance artist, and educator, both regular collaborators of the Zachęta – National Gallery of Art, Warsaw.
The workshop is aimed at children aged 5–12. All supplies are provided by the organisers. The workshop will begin with a tour of the exhibition guided by the artist.
Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Free entry passes for guardians may be collected at the box office before the workshop.
The exhibition catalogue and a children’s book accompanying the exhibition are available on butik.teatrwielki.pl
