Taking It Personally: Izabella Kłosińska and Beata Klatka
Agata Kwiecińska talks to artists about Stanisław Moniuszko
The name of Moniuszko seems to be popping out everywhere in his jubilee year. We discuss the composer's work with those who know it especially well, unearth unknown gems in his oeuvre, and search for fresh interpretations of his works.
This Taking It Personally meeting at the Moniuszko Lounge will reveal how the bicentenary affected the teaching at the Opera Academy and the way Moniuszko's music is perceived by the programme's members. The meeting will welcome excellent singer and Opera Academy professor Izabella Kłosińska and the programme's director Beata Klatka, as well as members of the Opera Academy, who will sing two Moniuszko hits in new arrangements by Rafał Kłoczko.
