The triple bill features two new choreographies created for our company and one renowned contemporary dance masterpiece. In line with our commitment to champion emerging Polish choreographers, we showcase a piece by Katarzyna Kozielska, an internationally acclaimed artist previously associated with the Stuttgart Ballet, who remains little known in Poland. Audiences will also encounter the work of Eyal Dadon, a former dancer with Israel’s distinguished Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company. A talented dancer and choreographer, Dadon also designs soundtracks for his productions. The programme concludes with the Polish premiere of Alexander Ekman’s celebrated ballet, Cacti, which has been scoring international successes for over a decade. Witty and enthralling, the piece represented the artist’s youthful defiance and his steadfast belief in the interpretive freedom of contemporary art – a principle we wholeheartedly embrace in this programme.
