Bartek Macias is a visual artist and animation director. He was born in Kraków, where he studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University. He has worked on many feature films, theatre productions, teleplays, and TV ads. He co-created the now famous installation at the Polish pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai. Co-founder of the post-production studio Lunapark, he is also the initiator and creative director of the artistic project Yes Eye Do! focusing on the promotion of contemporary art. Pioneer of adapting moving graphics for opera and theatre productions.
He has successfully collaborated with many renowned directors, including Grzegorz Jarzyna, Mariusz Treliński, Keith Warner, or Amon Miyamoto. He workes closely with WWAA and Boris Kudlička on theatre and opera productions internationally. The installation Spirala – Tribute To Marek Leykam developed by Bartek Macias in assiciation with Darek Błaszczyk, was shown during the 2013 Night of Museums at the Art Yard Sale, Warsaw's Ufficio Primo.
