Christine Birkle was born in 1961. She completed her fashion design studies at the HdK Berlin in 1993 and then launched her own label Hut up in Berlin. She presented her first clothing and homeware collection in 1996. She works with such renowned designers as Dries van Noten and Matheo Thun, and regularly takes part in Paris exhibitions. For Sasha Waltz she created the costumes for Impromptus, Dido & Aeneas, Fantasie and Medea. Christine Birkle
